In a bid to enhance the operations of the institution, the Office of the Public Protector is among oversight institutions attending a one (1) week learning visit in Kenya under the GIZ Enabling Access to Justice, Civil Society Participation and Transparency (EnACT) Programme supported by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
As part of the lined-up activities, today, the delegation paid a courtesy call on the Zambian High Commission in Nairobi, Kenya before holding engagement meetings with Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission as well as the Commission for Administrative Justice (Office of the Ombudsman).
The learning visit which runs from Monday 3rd June to Friday 7th June 2024 is being attended by a delegation drawn from the Office of the Public Protector, Anti-Corruption Commission, National Prosecution Authority and the Human Rights Commission.
The Office of the Public Protector is represented by the Chief Administrator, Mr. Kebby Hakalima and Chief Investigations Officer, Mr. Victor Siulanda.
The overall objective of the learning tour is to accord EnACTโs Zambian state partners an opportunity to review practices and experiences from sister institutions in the fight against Corruption, Maladministration and promotion of human rights in Kenya and draw lessons for Zambia.
