Sessions Recording Unit

The Session Recording Unit is responsible for facilitating public hearings, recording sessions, and preparing and issuing summons, search warrants, and writs. Its key functions are:

• Receiving submissions from the public during public hearings to support decision-making.
• Coordinating alternative dispute resolution (ADR) sessions.
• Issuing summons, search warrants, arrest warrants, and writs to compel the attendance of witnesses, provide evidence, and ensure enforcement.
• Administering oaths to witnesses, complainants, and representatives of state institutions appearing before the Public Protector.

This unit plays a vital role in supporting the Public Protector’s operations by ensuring accurate documentation and enforcement processes.
