The Ombudsman, Mrs. Caroline Sokoni concluded the week with a courtesy call from Transparency International Zambia (TI-Z) and United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) Coalition.
During the meeting, the TI-Z presented the recommendations in the Parallel Report on the implementation of UNCAC in Zambia.
The Public Protector hailed the critical role the Civil Society Organisations play in the fight against corruption and maladministration through advocacy.
Mrs. Sokoni made a rallying call to the Civil Society community to partner with the Office of the Public Protector in raising awareness on the mandate of the institution and evils of maladministration to ensure integrity in the public service delivery system.
